Bills’ Josh Allen Fined for Taunting Bengals During Touchdown Run in Week 9

After going viral in Week 9 over a hotly-debated taunting penalty, Josh Allen’s touchdown celebration will now cost the Bills star in another way entering Week 10.

Allen received a fine from the NFL amounting to $10,927 for unsportsmanlike conduct early in the Bills’ eventual 24–18 loss to the Bengalsthe league announced Saturday

Much like it did on Sunday night, the harsh penalty for Allen’s rivalry game shenanigans could draw more ire from fans, and potentially another public defense from Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

The now-infamous moment occurred with 6:07 left in the first quarter, when Allen pump-faked Bengals safety Nick Scott before pointing and laughing at him on his three-yard scramble into the end zone.

Considering the number of fines handed out for similar situations over the years, this latest discipline for a TD celebration, albeit a premature one, certainly won’t help the NFL dodge the “No Fun League” claims made by fans on a nearly weekly basis.

Nevertheless, the fine will likely stick in the minds of Allen and other players with ideas of gloating mid-play against their opponent as the season continues.
