Avalanche Broadcaster Accidentally Took Swig of Partner’s Tobacco Spit Cup Live on Air

Colorado Avalanche television analyst Mark Rycroft reached down for a swig of his beverage during a recent broadcast.

He took one big gulp and quickly realized it was not his cup. Instead, it was the tobacco spit cup of his partner, Avalanche play-by-play broadcaster Marc Moser.

Rycroft scrambled to find his beverage while Moser had to continue broadcasting without breaking out in laughter. Incredibly, Rycroft continued to contribute to the broadcast without a stop in the action.

Avalanche fans heard about the moment over the last few weeks, but it wasn’t until Thursday when fellow broadcaster Vic Lombardi released the video on X (formerly Twitter) to a wider audience.

As you might expect, it was equally gross and hilarious.

Aside from their analyst accidentally consuming tobacco spit, it’s been a fun season for the Avalanche, who currently are tied for first in the Central Division with 42 points.
