The Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys battled in a nail-biter of a game on Sunday that carried massive postseason implications for both teams.
For the Dolphins, a win would punch their ticket to the playoffs with two games left to play in the regular season, while the Cowboys needed a win to stay atop the NFC East standings.
Late in the fourth quarter the Cowboys were trailing 19–13 and facing fourth-and-goal from the Miami four-yard line, giving the Dolphins a chance to seal the win. While Dak Prescott’s pass dropped incomplete, a flag was thrown on the play for defensive pass interference.
The call inspired quite the reaction out of one young Dolphins fan.
Fans were immediately able to relate to the young fan’s impassioned plea for justice.
The Cowboys would go on to score a touchdown on the drive, taking a 20–19 lead in the process.
Luckily for the fan who came into the spotlight, Miami was able to respond, driving into field goal range and letting kicker Jason Sanders put the game-winning kick through the uprights as time expired.
