TFT Patch 14.12 - Happy Birthday TFT

TFT Patch 14.12 – Happy Birthday TFT

As Teamfight Tactics turns five years old, the next patch of the game is a celebration of not only how far the game has come from its beginnings but it also contains some exciting changes for players looking to grind the ranked ladder as the set hits its home stretch. With a brand new game mode, some system changes, and balance adjustments, players will not want to miss out on TFT Patch 14.12 when it hits the live servers on Wednesday, June 12th. Here is a breakdown of everything players will need to know.

Starting with Patch 14.12 and ending with patch 14.14, TFT will have an in-client celebration that brings in a brand new game mode, battle pass and cosmetics. These will all be live when the patch goes live.

For a full in-depth look at what players can expect for the TFT 5 Year bash, check out the breakdown here

In Patch 14.8, Riot Games made changes to the shop odds at Level 7 to curb the dominance of three-cost reroll compositions that took the metagame over for the early parts of TFT Set 11. But now that the game is in a healthier state with standard four and five-cost comps pushing their way into the meta, reroll comps have taken too much of a hit.

In an attempt to harmonize the metagame, Riot is reverting the Level 7 shop odds to give some of the reroll comps some love.

A number of changes are coming to the trait deparment in Patch 14.12 which is highighted by a nerf to the Duelist trait and buffs to the Reaper and Exalted traits. Sniper and Trickshots are being touched as well.

Not a ton of big changes in the unit department but a number of two and three-cost units are being buffed in hopes of increasing their play as viable reroll comps. Kayn is one unit Riot is focusing on in this patch with buffs to his traits and flat AD buff.

Breeze and Split will exit the VALORANT map pool in patch 8.11. Haven and Abyss will replace them. Haven is a classic VALORANT map with three sites and long-range angles on A and C. Abyss is a brand-new VALORANT map. It is the first map in the game with no boundaries and features several dangerous parkour spots. Haven will immediately appear in VALORANT's competitive map pool, but Abyss will have a 5-v-5 game mode for players to become familiar with before its final introduction in upcoming Patch 9.0.

Patch 8.11 aims to level the playing field between duelists so all can perform with even impact. Riot Games states in its patch notes that "this update is aimed to allow other Duelists to compete with Agents like Jett and Raze that excel at taking space for their team through sheer speed and mobility." The update provides major buffs to Iso and Neon, enhancing their space-taking abilities. Meanwhile, Reyna receives a balancing adjustment which decreases her Devour healing but provides overall improvements to her abilities. Finally, Raze receives a severe nerf impacting her satchel lineups and movement kit.

Clove is also receiving a severe nerf. After the agent's recent introduction, they have been an extremely common pick in competitive lobbies. Clove's performance has simple been too strong, so Riot Games is adjusting abilities so other controllers also have a chance to shine.

Tekken 8 Patch 1.05 To Arrive In June/July

Tekken 8 Patch 1.05 To Arrive In June/July

Tekken 8, one of the top fighting games on the planet, dropped a hint as to when fight fans can expect the next patch and it's right around the corner in July and will more than likey come with the release of Lidia. Also, the official Tekken twitter account let us know that there will be some adjustments to characters, specifically Paul and Kazuya. The last patch the 1.04 patch for Tekken 8 released back in May.

One of big changes that's coming in the 1.05 is a huge nerf to the effectiveness of Heat Dash and Heat Burst. Both of these mechanics made it significantly easier to get big damage combos in Tekken 8 as they had tons of hitstun. Also, Wall Stagger (or wall splat) is going to be removed if you pushed your opponent to the wall from a Heat Dash. This will greatly reduce an attackers ability to push to the wall quickly and gain big damage. These two changes seem to be aimed at an over reliance on the Heat system to unlock combo routes, something that Tekken players have been critical of in the past.

Also, King players should pour one out for their masked feline friend, because throws are getting hit with the nerf gun as well. In the first few months of the game, King, was regarded as one of the strongest characters in Tekken 8. His effectiveness directly stemmed from the power of throws, and the ability to grab out of Heat moves. With throws being kneecapped in 1.05, expect King to drop out of the upper echelon of characters.

Mishima heads, rejoice! Kazuya is finally getting buffed. Also confirmed in the same series of tweets, Jin's dad is getting some much deserved buffs. Even if we don't know what they are quite yet, it's a good sign for one of the most popular characters in the game. Kazuya is a fan-favorite and having him flounder in mid-tier has been something players have been unhappy with.

Back in April, Kazuya was the 6th most popular character in Tekken 8.Back in April, Kazuya was the 6th most popular character in Tekken 8.

Alongside Kazuya, the Tekken team acknowledged that Paul and Raven would also be getting buffs. While at the same time, they also stated that a number of characters would be seeing some nerfs and specific combos. They said that it is also possible that a number of changes from 1.04 may be scaled back in order to balance out the changes from 1.05.

While there hasn't been a date set for the patch, it will surely come within the next few weeks as the team said that future updates "beyond July" will focus on bug fixing.

VALORANT Patch 8.11 Brings Big Agent Changes

VALORANT Patch 8.11 Brings Big Agent Changes

VALORANT Patch 8.11 is focused on balancing agents, meaning some big agent changes that will impact gameplay. The full patch notes are not out yet, but here is what you need to know about the upcoming agent changes coming to Riot's FPS.

Iso is receiving strictly buffs this patch because he’s underperforming across all skill brackets. Leaning into increasing Iso’s signature ability output is intended to make Iso more reliable at challenging contested spaces and winning opening duels by granting his shield immediately after channeling the ability. Iso’s buff will also remain active and orbs will still spawn should he lose his shield and secure a kill during Double Tap’s uptime. Shooting the orbs will refresh the duration of the buff and the shield.

Neon Valorant patchNeon Valorant patch

We want to sharpen Neon as an Agent who excels at taking mobile fights directly to her opponents by buffing the unique value she brings to the table. We’ve made her slide more effective at sliding directly into opponents by making it more combat-ready, and by removing all weapon movement error when sliding as well as a few other changes. The updates to her Fast Lane (C) are intended to make fights around her wall dropping feel more intuitive for Neon’s allies while reducing the visual noise it creates in game.

Sharpening her Relay Bolt (Q) to be a more premium and reliable one-charge ability is intended to allow Neon to have more success when she does decide to commit to a fight with her slide, as well as make some room for the second slide charge.

Reyna is receiving both buffs and nerfs this patch to reshape the power of her kit. The goal of the changes is to reduce the level of dominance she can achieve in Ranked, especially at low and mid ranks when outperforming her enemies, while pushing some of her value in coordinated settings:

Healing has proven very strong statistically in Ranked with higher impact at low and mid ranks. This change should reduce her ability to snowball round-over-round in these settings.

Removing the time restrictions on her Devour (Q) and Empress (X) should allow you more flexibility to play at your team’s pace and increase the baseline value of both in coordinated play where rounds play out slower.

Dismiss (E) has been re-tuned to provide a greater movement speed boost, but has a shorter duration. This should reward decisive and skillful Reyna players by unlocking faster and more powerful combat repositioning.

We’ll be tracking how these updates affect Reyna across all the different skill levels and settings of play.

Raze Valorant patchRaze Valorant patch

As we’ve seen you get better and better at Raze’s satchel mobility, we’ve found that her total speed and movement potential can undermine the tactical loop. These changes are intended to allow you to more reasonably counterplay Raze, whether through your own utility or gunplay. While we still want to maintain the sandbox movement fantasy of Raze’s satchels, she should not be as surprising when not supported by allied utility.

Blast Pack (Q)

While we’re excited with how Clove has been immediately relevant in Ranked and how much you’re enjoying playing them, their performance in ranked play is stronger than we’d like. We’re trimming some extraneous power from their selfish, Duelist-oriented outputs while preserving the Controller-leaning power in their kit.
